Day 11: Something Blue

Sad crate is sad.

Who know why sad crate is so blue?

Something literally blue would have been sooooooo cliché....

Day 10: Childhood Memory

Back when we were kids, my sister and I didn't have alarm clocks. The parents (well, usually just Mom) would get up at some unearthly hour to go downstairs and do those things that parents do, like make vast quantities of tea. As morning wore on, this Nepalese yak bell would sound the call to get up. Despite it's appearance, it's actually quite sonorous and musical.

It was a far more pleasant sound to wake up to than my modern alarm, lurking in the background.

Day 9: Someone You Love

Hmm, a girl must have come up with this list. A guy would have had "Day 9: Someone whose ass you kicked."

Unfortunately, everyone's whose ass I've kicked stays the hell out of my way nowadays, and I don't have the telephoto lens I would need to capture a photo of them before they skittered out of sight. (And anyway, for this challenge I've restricted myself to my - speaking of love - beloved EF 50mm f/1.4.)

So the specified topic, then. My dear mom brought a "photo-mobile" back from the US for me, and it has turned out to be very useful for a little collection of picture of people and things I love.

(That's her, bottom right.)

Of course, the mobile has been labeled a little weird by some, but the really weird thing was getting the photos printed out.

I mean, who does that? :)

Day 3: Clouds

Gloomy, gloomy day today.

Pity clouds wasn't the topic the day before:

30 Day Challenge - Day 1: Self Portrait

So today marks day eight in my month-long photography challenge. Every day, I've been taking s picture according to a specified theme, and I'll be posting them from today, a week delayed (to give me the chance to get them off my camera and online).

The idea came from a good friend of mine whose blog still has no name after all this time.

The link also has the list of upcoming photo themes, so you can peek ahead if you like.

Let's see if I can make it.

The first day was a self-portrait, not my favourite topic.
